I was looking for a fill-and-spill toy that she would not outgrow as quickly as many other baby toys and I was hoping for something that she would use for creative play for the next couple of years. We were skeptical at first because we felt that, although the price is reasonable, we still did not want to throw away $20 and she might not care for it or it may be a little mature for her. I am so glad that we bought it. It was the last of the gifts that we bought for her first Christmas, and I just know it was meant for her to have. DESCRIPTION: Everything is made of hard plastic, except for the checked "blanket" which is like a handkerchief. My 18 month old daughter loves playing pretend and this is a great toy for her. Plus, all the food is a shape that fits in it's on spot on the plates, like a puzzle. It helps her with shapes, colors and I can get her to clean up when she's done.
